The collections are particularly strong in history, literature, art, theology, philosophy and music; and they include materials not only in Latin and Greek, but also in Hebrew, Armenian, and Christian Arabic. Nearly half of HMML's holdings derive from libraries in Austria and Germany, but the Library also houses significant collections from Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, England, and Ethiopia.
