- Course Description
- Long before telescopes or laboratories, philosophers and mathematicians mapped the stars, measured the earth, dissected the human body, and debated the nature of reality itself. From the cryptic fragments of the Presocratics to Aristotle's encyclopedic vision and Ptolemy's intricate celestial machinery, this course dives into the minds that first dared to explain the universe free from the gods. Along the way, students will encounter eccentric theories, curious characters, and the originsof ideas that still shape science today.
